Terms

Last updated 16 October 2026.

ditloid.co.uk is a free puzzle site run by DuckSeeker in the UK (“we”). By using it you agree to these terms. They’re short, and they sit alongside our privacy notice.

Playing

  • The site is free to play, for your own personal use.
  • Play fair. Don’t scrape or copy the puzzles and answers in bulk, use scripts or bots, try to get round the trail’s locked pages or the limits on guest accounts and suggestions, or do anything that gets in the way of other players or the site.
  • Sharing your results, and talking about a ditloid with friends, is very welcome. Please don’t post lists of answers.

Your account

You can play as a guest, or add your email to keep your record and play on other devices. Keep access to that email safe, since sign-in links go there. You can delete your account at any time from your page. We may suspend or remove accounts used to break these terms.

Suggestions

When you suggest a ditloid, you’re telling us it’s yours to share and allowing us to use it on the site: we may edit it, choose when it runs, and keep it there, without payment. If you give a name to be credited, we’ll show it with your ditloid when it runs. We don’t have to use every suggestion. Please don’t send anything offensive, unlawful or that isn’t yours to share.

The puzzles and the site

The puzzles, their selection and the site itself belong to us (or to the people who suggested them, who let us use them). Ditloids are a game anyone can play, and many are common knowledge: the point is that the collection and the site shouldn’t be copied wholesale.

Availability and changes

We try to keep the site running and a new ditloid up every day, but we can’t promise it’ll always be available or free of mistakes, including in the puzzles and answers. We may change, pause or close the site, or change how the game works, at any time.

Responsibility

The site is provided as it is, for fun. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from using it or from it not being available, such as a lost streak. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn’t let us exclude.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version goes on this page with a new date at the top, and applies once it’s here.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
